Backup policy

Newsys take daily, weekly and monthly backups of customer's Budget, Shared, Business and Reseller hosting accounts. The terms of our backup policy vary depending on the type of hosting account. We would like to note that these backups are made for server restoration purposes only. However, this is NOT a procedure you should rely on to keep copies of your content safe; we recommend you make your own backups. A "Backup/Restore" feature is included in cPanel with each hosting plan and you can use this tool to back up your files

Backup Policy for Budget Hosting

We create monthly backups of our budget hosting accounts that are under 2 GB and 70,000 inodes. Customers having Budget hosting accounts are advised to take regular backups of their files by using "Backup/Restore" options in cPanel.

Backup Policy for Shared and Business Hosting

Shared hosting accounts that are under 10GB and 200,000 inodes are backed up daily for 7 days and available to download in cPanel. Customers can also request to restore their accounts via support ticket.

Backup Policy for Reseller Hosting

We create weekly backups of our reseller hosting accounts. cPanel accounts under Reseller Hosting plans having size more than 5GB or 200,000 inodes are excluded from our weekly backup system. So, Resellers are advised to keep their clients cPanel account size under 5GB or 200,000 inodes.

Backup Limitations.

Any shared hosting account that uses more than 10GB of disk space or contains more than 200,000 inodes will be removed from our weekly system backup. Any user whose hosting account is using more than 10GB of disk space or contains more than 200,000 inodes is solely responsible for maintaining the copy of his/her account.

Backup Limitations.

  • Newsys assumes no responsibility for failed backups, lost data, or data integrity. Newsys is unable to create automatic backups for sites above 10 gigabytes in size. You may create your own copies using SSH/Shell Access.
  • Backups may be permanently deleted if payment fails on your account and the account is expired. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to make and keep copies of their data, and Newsys will not attempt to keep data (including backups) of accounts that have been expired or cancelled.
  • If the hosting service was suspended or cancelled, we will attempt to recover the data from the most recent archive for a Rs. 1000 service fee.
