What is inode?
An inode is a data structure used to keep information about a file on your hosting account. The number of inodes indicates the number of files and folders you have. This includes everything on your account, emails, files, folders, anything you store on the server.

What are the inode limits with Newsys?

Budget Hosting Plans: 50000
Shared Hosting Plans: 200000

Why have inode limit?
We implement total inode limit to prevent users from abusing shared resource.

Inode violations can include:

  • Creation and deletion of large numbers of files on a regular basis.
  • Causing file system damage.
  • Exceeding 200,000 inodes in shared hosting accounts, and 50000 inodes in budget hosting accounts.
